The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) has release a report detailing which cars have had the most registrations so far in 2019. The term ‘Registration’ relates to a car being registered with the DVLA. It then receives a number plate and can be taxed and insured.
1. Ford Fiesta - 48,943 registrations.
2. Ford Focus – 36,102 registrations.
3. Volkswagen Golf - 35,781 registrations.
4. Nissan Qashqai - 33,227 registrations.
5. Vauxhall Corsa - 33,061 registrations.
6. Mercedes-Benz A-Class - 31,606 registrations.
7. Volkswagen Polo - 26,173 registrations.
8. Ford Kuga - 23,346 registrations.
9. MINI Hatchback - 23,001 registrations.
10. Kia Sportage - 21,194 registrations.
